Applicants must be at least 18, must have -or be enrolled in- a high school diploma or equivalent program. Certification is not mandated, although the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy (link to Pharmacy Tech Information) requires that pharm techs be registered with the Board and renew their application annually ($25 fee).
The pharmacists-in-charge are required to have techs supervised by them enroll in Board-approved tech training. Towards that goal, supervising pharmacists commonly rely on the National Pharmacy Technician training program that leads to the accredited Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
